The food system is broken

we’re
rethinking it

Rethink Food is a chef-led nonprofit on a mission to create a more sustainable and equitable food system.

How we
rethink food

Food insecurity impacts 47 million people – including 13.8 million children – across the United States. Since 2017, we’ve been rethinking this problem with a solution hiding in plain sight: restaurants. That’s right. Restaurants.

We partner with restaurants to provide meals for communities in need, while helping create jobs and supporting small businesses—the pillars of our local economy.
